The terms and conditions contained herein shall be binding on each, every
customer of BBV & shall be in the benefit of BBV. Its said successors & assigns.
BBV is purchasing your second hand jewelry or items for refining but we also offer options to connect Sellers with Buyers via our extensive worldwide network. Prices are based solely on the weight & if gemstones are involved karat grade contained in the jewelry, not on its potential value if resold intact. For this reason, the company cannot pay for gemstones in the jewelry other than large diamonds. Large diamonds consist of 0.5 carat or higher. These will be taken out of it's setting & appraised by a Certified GAL Gemologist. All of our stones are appraised at GemLab in NYC which has been serving professionals in the Diamond District of New York City for over 25 years.
Requirements for Use
Every client must be at least 18 years of age in order to sell precious metals or jewelry to BBV. If you are under 18 years of age, a signed & dated note by your legal guardian must be included in the package that you send to us for purchase. In addition, every client of BBV must be the actual legal owner of any and all gold, jewelry, and other property sold or attempted to be sold to BBV. Every client must be acting on his or her own behalf. By shipping your goods to BBV, you are agreeing to all terms, conditions set forth herein & those described on our website: Bullion Buyers Vault.

Guaranty Against Loss
BBV cannot guaranty against loss of the total contents if not properly shipped to BBV not in accordance with the instructions & procedures established by BBV. Subject to the terms, conditions herein & as described at BBV. BBV reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject delivery of any mail, envelope or package which appears to be damaged, opened, or tampered with & any such mail, envelope or package will be returned by the post office to the customer. BBV shall have no liability to any customer for any such attempted delivery or return of any such items.
Limitation of Liability
This limitation of liability shall be binding on each & every client or any third party, including, but not limited to, the client & the client's successors, assigns, insurance carriers & any other individual or entity asserting any right or claim relating to clients transaction with BBV. In no event shall BBV be liable for any damages from the loss or destruction of property in its possession for any reason, including negligence, except as stated herein. In no event shall BBV be liable to any third party, including any insurance carrier. BBV shall not be liable for any subrogation claim brought by the clients insurance carrier, by submitting an item to BBV the client expressly & specifically waives any such subrogation claim on his or her behalf as well as on the behalf of his or her insurance carrier.
BBV liability is & shall be expressly, specifically limited to the LEAST of the following sums:
1 - The liquidation value placed on the total contents by BBV, is BBV's sole discretion.
2 - One-third (1/3) of the appraised value of the contents according to an appraisal submitted by a client/seller to BBV, which appraisal was issued prior to the shipment of the item to BBV & the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars.
The client/seller expressly acknowledges & agrees that if there is no appraisal which was issued prior to the contents begin submitted to BBV, BBV's liquidated value shall be conclusive, binding, further & that in no event shall BBV's Liability exceed One Hundred ($1000.00) Dollars.
BBV shall not be liable to anyone for any damages, including but not limited to, incidental, consequential, punitive, loss of profit or opportunity, other than as set forth herein above. By submitting the items, client's explicitly & expressly accepts this limitation of liability.
If you believe your precious metal items or other property is worth more
than $100.00, we recommend that you insure your shipment for more at
your own expense using any carrier you choose. We also strongly advise
that you list the contents of your package in an email,
which you must send us. You should also keep a copy of this for your records.
Verbal Offers
Any client or prospective seller may request BBV to provide a
telephone or e-mail quote for his or her items after such items have
arrived at BBV's processing facility. Verbal offers may, at the
discretion of BBV, be recorded. Upon a verbal acceptance by the
customer of the telephone or e-mail quote, payment will be issued by BBV within fourty eight (48) hours of such acceptance. If a verbal quote is not needed payment will be issued within 24 hours of acceptance unless other payment options are chosen.
Gold Chart Disclaimer of Liability
BBV shall not be responsible for the contents of the gold chart data appearing on its website. These charts are prepared by third parties other than BBV & BBV includes such charts only for general information to its clients. BBV shall not be liable to anyone who relies on the information contained therein.
Return Insurance Liabilities
If an item is returned to a client, BBV will insure the item
for no more than the amount offered by BBV regardless of what it
was insured for when mailed by the client to BBV, unless BBV is otherwise notified by e-mail by the client prior
to the return shipment & the client agrees to pay for any extra
insurance requested. BBV shall, in its sole discretion, choose
the return carrier, insurance & receipt verification method for each
transaction. If a client wants an item returned via a certain shipping method then it is the clients sole responsability to pay for the shipping of that method.
Choice of Law, Waiver & Claims
The Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey & Georgia without regard to its conflict of law provisions. BBV's failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the agreement will not be deemed to be a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of the Agreement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, & the other provisions of the agreement remain in full force and effect. You agree that regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to use of the services offered by BBV must be filed within six (6) months after such claim or cause of action arose or be forever barred. Any such claim or cause of action must be filed in the State of New Jersey or Georgia. BBV shall be entitled to reimbursement for any & all costs incurred by it in defending any civil action filed or attempted to be filed in any jurisdiction outside of the State of New Jersey or Gerogia, including but not limited to, attorney's fees incurred by BBV.
Material Return
If you change your mind about selling your material, you must notify us within twenty four (24) hours of receipt of your package. If we do not hear from you by telephone or email within 24 hours of the receipt of your package, you mailed to us, your material will be processed & sold to the highest bidding buyer, & your payment will be sent automatically in the useing the forms of payment listed on the Get Paid page. If another form of payment is chosen before you mail your package to us this paragraph is void. Clients choosing the extended 30 plan have 5 business days to decide.
This time limitation cannot be waived for any reason do to the sheer volume of packages we process daily. BBV will not be responsible for any loss or damage of any kind if the time limitations are not strictly followed. A shipping and handling charge will apply for material returned to the customer.
WHEN THE CUSTOMER’S REQUEST TO RETURN PACKAGE IS RECEIVED WITHIN THE LIMITATIONS AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION WILL BE SENT, UNLESS NO EMAIL ADDRESS WAS PROVIDED THEN A VOICE CALL WILL BE MADE.
Waiting Period For A Claim
A client who wishes to submit a claim to BBV must NOTIFY THE COMPANY IMMEDIATELY TO REQUEST A CLAIM FORM. In order to be processed, the claim form must be fully & accurately completed, signed and mailed to BBV in accordance with the claim form instructions. The client must submit any & all supporting documentation with the completed & signed claim form. Failure to properly complete, sign &/or mail the claim form WITH PROOF THAT THE GOODS WERE MAILED TO BBV will result in the denial of the claim by BBV. There is a 30 day waiting period from the time the claim form is received by BBV & the claim is processed.
